The Prosciutto di San Daniele’s consortium was founded in 1961 by a group of citizens of San Daniele, made up of ham producers, entrepreneurs and other important personalities of the local community.
We value, promote and preserve the Prosciutto di San Daniele through various protection and supervision measures, brand promotion and services to the consortium members.
Our rigorous internal structure guarantees decision-making independence and operational efficiency to the Consortium, which works to protect the general interests of the sector and of all consortium members.
We strive to ensure the responsible management of the San Daniele prosciutto value chain and its Protected Designation
of Origin (PDO), its production and market presence. All this while preserving nature and protecting people’s health.
