The Prosciutto di San Daniele Consortium was founded in 1961 by a group of residents of San Daniele made up of prosciutto producers, entrepreneurs and other leading figures of the local community.

Since then, our strong identity has always stood out to express the values of excellence and sustainability.

“Beyond excellence” represents our ability to evolve and improve through dedication and commitment, in synergy with the various stakeholders along our production chain.

We have innovated, since our very beginnings, in accordance with the needs of society, combining new technologies with traditional methods, always in a sustainable way.

The Consortium in a nutshell

The Prosciutto di San Daniele Consortium is a private consortium of 31 companies, all operating within the municipality of San Daniele del Friuli

Our aim is to safeguard the typical characteristics of the product and to protect and promote the San Daniele Prosciutto name and trademark the world over.
